It’s easy to set yourself up for success with the John Deere 1990 Central Commodity System. The no-till drill is designed for high productivity and superior seeding of multiple crops. The 1990 CCS offers plenty of versatility with a range of working widths and row spacings. Plus, it comes equipped with the latest smart technology to keep your operation running as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
Multiple Row Spacings
Whatever your seeding requirements are, you can count on the John Deere 1990 CCS to meet them. The CCS has three different row spacings available: 7.5 inches, 10 inches and 15 inches. The 7.5- and 10-inch row spacing configurations are dual rank machines and the 15-inch spacing model is available as a single rank design. If you opt for the 7.5- or 10-inch versions, you can get an optional dual row spacing kit that lets you seed on alternative 15- or 20-inch row spacings.
The 1990 CCS always provides consistent seed placement thanks to its single disk no-till openers. This method, which uses an air-delivery system, is proven to not only provide more accurate seed metering but to provide minimal soil disturbance as well. It’s available in 30-, 35/36-, 40- and 42-foot working widths.
High-Performance air System
The high-performance air system gently moves seed to the openers and minimizes the changes of the air system plugging, so you can work with no worries. The fan is strategically placed to keep any foreign material from entering the air system. The oscillating agitation system provides more agitation for crops that are prone to bridging. When you bring in the larger venturi cups, the dual-rank models can seed crops like rice, oats, barley, wheat, milo and soybeans.
Premium features like the SeedStar 2 blockage system allow you to monitor product flow to each individual opener, and the GreenStar display screen warns you of any blockages. With electronic population rate control, seed populations can be changed on the go. Adjustments can easily be made from the cab, like increasing seeding rates to match the target population.
