John Deere offers two different series of windrowers that are available here at C & B Operations. Each of those series offers a choice of windrower models, ranging from 155 to 260 horsepower. The W100 Series offers the W155 and W170, while the W200 Series offers the W235 and W260.
W100 SEries
Both John Deere W100 Series models can be matched with draper heads and auger heads to give you the cutting and windrow performance that your operation needs. The W155 puts out 155 horsepower, while the W170 boasts 173 horsepower.
The W100 Series windrowers are designed to give you versatility and efficiency. They offer interchangeable draper heads from 15 to 45 feet, and auger heads from 16 to 18 feet. That means you get a draper machine that is not only excellent for small grain applications but hay applications as well.
These windrowers make getting platforms on and off a breeze, so you can change from hay to grain harvest quickly and efficiently. If you grow more than one type of crop, you can save a lot of time and focus on being productive for more hours every year.
With the John Deere W170, you can transport wider draper platforms with ease and control using the ballast box and the 1400D with an integrated transport system. You can also transport narrow platforms with the integrated slow-speed transport system.
When the W170 is in transport, the ballast box shifts weight onto the drive tires for optimal traction and control. The electrical wiring harness and hitch pink kit provide a seven-pin connector on the ballast box for lighting, so you can always rely on the W170 and 1400D to keep you protected.
W200 Series
The W200 Series windrowers are made to meet demanding requirements, like getting faster cutting speeds without compromising on quality. They offer integrated AutoTrac with a top speed of 21 mph. With 6-cylinder, 6.8L John Deere engines, these machines have the power to take on even the toughest crops.
Thanks to heavy-duty planetary final drives, these windrowers have extra durability in the most difficult conditions. Thanks to the IntelliAxle rear steering-assist system, the ride stays smooth through it all.
The W200 Series offers an independent float suspension, which delivers better cut quality along irrigation along berms and pivot tracks. When the float suspension is adjusting independently, the platform can ride on the raised surface with proper floatation. This reduces gouging and dirt building up on the platform. That means you get higher quality hay and forage, plus increased uptime.
The W200 units also offer constant header speed, thanks to its state-of-the-art platform hydraulic pump control system. The system monitors platform speed and controls the pump to maintain a required speed. The result is a consistent cut quality and uniform windrow formation through a variety of crop conditions and landscapes.
If the head begins to slow due to a change in crop conditions, the control system directs more oil to the platform drive motor to maintain the set header speed. That means you get more power when you need it most. The constant header speed also allows you to run at slower speeds in lighter crops, which saves fuel. Additionally, it offers improved ramp up and down speeds and long-lasting header and platform drivetrain components.
The cabs on the John Deere W200 Series windrowers are also carefully designed with you in mind, offering more visibility and comfort to get you through the workday. The Operator’s Station gives you easy access to soft-touch controls, keeping frequently used controls close within reach. Features like the tilt-and-telescope steering column, the ComfortCommand air-suspension seat, and GreenStar 3 CommandCenter display come together to make the cab as convenient and comfortable as possible.
